Group and Individual Counseling
All group and individual sessions are led by licensed counselors or master's level counselors working under the supervision of licensed professionals. Any woman interested in participating must schedule an intake appointment to determine her readiness for the group experience.
About the Trauma Recovery Group
This 11-week session group provides an intensive therapeutic experience for adult women. It is a closed group (meaning no new members are admitted after the second meeting) to promote group safety. We work on various issues related to the aftermath of sexual assaut and childhood sexual assault including symptoms of PTSD; managing triggers; anxiety-reducing techniques; and dealing with shame, blame and rape myths. Group members are encouraged to set one goal for their healing and to work towards it.
The Women's Trauma Recovery Group series is scheduled three times in a calendar year: January-March May - mid July September - mid December
